UI Design

Working closely with product management, define target user, identify tasks, analyze workflows, and research industry trends. Maintain a user advocacy perspective by surveying existing customers about product limitations and ambiguities. Meet regularly with engineers to understand product functionality, team strengths and development constraints.

Project Management

Gather requirements from product teams. During initial phase, schedule and facilitate design pre-planning meetings.  Evaluate and qualify vendors. Provide direction and concept development for visual artist. Manage workload between multiple sources. Negotiate content changes with vendor to adhere to budget and schedule.  Track product release schedules. Participate in core team project meetings. Gather marketing and cross-team feedback on designs. Produce final design presentations for executive team review. Set expectations for deliverables with engineering and product management.

User research and guerrilla testing

Write user screener for recruiting. Work with recruiting vendor on participant schedule and compensation. Work with product manger to establish testing objectives and write script. Work with Visual Designers to produce an interactive prototype or work with development to coordinate working build availability. Setup WebEx and teleconference, conduct and record user sessions. Provide evaluation, recommendations and session recording to the team.
